Watchog and Patrat- Watchful eyes everywhere

Watchog are very nervous Pokemon.

They are constantly scouting the area for danger.
despite usually knowing some pretty decent and strong moves such as Crunch, Hyper fang, Slam and Strength, they don't have a terrible amount of physical power behind these moves and they know it. So even with just knowing these moves, they'd much rather prefer to run and hide than actually fight. This goes even more so with their pre-evolved forms, Patrat, who are even smaller and weaker than Watchog.

Though just like with many Pokemon, it's still not a pretty good idea for a human to try and take one on by themselves without some kind of protection. a Hyper fang attack from a frightened and cornered Watchog can easily sever a human hand.

As parents, Watchog are very dedicated to their Patrat pups, sometimes even carrying them in their arms like how a human does their baby. Watchogs tend to live in groups of 10 to 30 individuals called 'Mobs' and are mostly Matriarchal (the females are bigger than the males). Only the leading female is allowed to have pups, any other female caught with pups will be chased away or killed along with the pups themselves. A Watchog matriarch can have as many as 16 pups and just about every member of the group will help in raising them. Females will provide milk for them whenever the mother cannot (although not allowed to actually become pregnant, a female will automatically start to lactate in the presence of a pup) and males will go out to hunt and forage other foods for them as well as teach them the ways of the mob as they get older and eventually evolve too.

In the case of domestic Watchog, they are popular Pokemon often used in outside work.
they are commonly seen as help for traffic directing and helping children cross the streets safely.
but their work is not limited to only those two things, they can also been seen alongside Gurdurr and Conkeldurr with construction work, they can be good help for housemaids with Audino and they are also well loved by law enforcers and firefighters by being part of rescue teams to retrieve missing or injured people.

Despite not being too desired by most battle crazy trainers, they are greatly desired by many in the workforce, simply because of how useful and diverse these Pokemon can be in many job related situations, this also seems to be yet another thing that Watchog know and understand completely well. despite their nervous natures, they do seem to love working with people, and many of them do whatever they can to get the attention of a person in hopes of impressing them enough so that they can be allowed to join them.
