Shocker Imps- Elekid

Formally known as 'Shocker Imps' by Johtos' early natives long ago in ancient times, Elekid are mischievous little rascals that love to play pranks on others (be it human or Pokemon) by sneaking up behind their targets and using the horns on their heads, which resemble the prongs on an electrical plug, to generate crackling sparks of electricity to scare them. the terrified reactions of their targets often give them good bouts of laughter as they dance around.

In more modern times, although plenty of them still have this annoying habit, it's quite easy to train them to not do it, especially if they are kept busy with food and toys to distract them from even thinking about it. surprisingly, they actually make great companions for children, as they just love to play. though they may need a little more supervision from an adult when they evolve into Electabuzz as they tend to become a little more rowdy and aggressive.

Despite their cat-like faces, their closest relatives are primate Pokemon such as Mankey, Aipom and even Infernape.

As Elekid and Electabuzz, they are omnivores, feasting on both meat and vegetation.
but strangely, should they manage to reach their final evolutionary form, Electivire, their teeth all become flattened and then they turn into strict vegetarians. No one yet understands why or even how this happens.

They can be found living in the forests of the Johto region, especially within the woods near Ecruteak city, but they are more commonly seen in captivity with trainers as well as in the city streets feeding on energy from nearby electrical power plants at night, often causing blackouts.
