Leavanny- The nurturing insect

Many would compare this Bug-type Pokemon to the Parent Pokemon, Kangaskhan, simply because it tends to have a motherly nature, and that goes for both sexes. Leavanny is a Pokemon that has a great tendency to use it's own sticky saliva as well as fallen leaves from its favorite trees to make 'clothing' for others, be it Pokemon or even human children.

But despite its mothering nature, it is no pushover.
its closest relative is the ferocious Scyther, and like the Scyther it sports sharp, blade-like appendages on its arms, and one swipe from a Leavanny that feels threatened is enough to sever a human arm or head.

Just like many more Pokemon, Leavanny can be dangerous, but it should be known that it is not particularly violent, as it would much rather prefer to run than to fight.

- The Leavanny pictured above is not your standard kind, this one is known as a 'Breedlove's Speckled Leavanny'.
A once entirely wild Leavanny that is now very much domesticated and specifically bred for fashion purposes, as they are quite beautiful to look at. though this subspecies is also known for its amazing feat of being capable of learning the move Aqua jet.

As of now, it is the only subspecies capable of this and it is still unknown how it is able to do so, but it's thought that it is for helping the Pokemon to better fend itself against Fire-types in the wild.
